Best Birthday Ever!!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes : )  I definitely felt the love from family and friends back home, as well as from my new temporary family here in Port Barton. Life is pretty good!
On my birthday I woke up at the usual time of around 5:30. Opened my door and was just vegging in bed when I noticed someone quietly come to my porch to set something down. The minute they left I got up to see what it was. I was surprised to see a bunch of roses from B-Rod on my table!  I was lucky enough to have internet connection at that time to give B-Rod a call. Turns out (and I wasn’t surprised by this) having flowers delivered in Port Barton is not an easy feat. There aren’t any mangos here, let alone flower shops!  B-Rod has been emailing the manager at Deep Gold who had to go to Puerto Princessa anyways. So, B-Rod paid for flowers and having them transported 3.5 hours to Port Barton on that crappy road. It makes for a good story! I had also mentioned to him that my coconut supply was running out. We had put in an order, but despite the fact the trees are overloaded with coconuts, for some reason it always seems hard to find a climber to get these coconuts.  B-Rod also mentioned this in his emails to the manager and conveniently I got my coconut stash on the day before my birthday. How awesome is that?
The rest of the day I did yoga class and yoga related activities, went swimming and had a sunset beer on the beach. I raked in other gifts such as cashews, Oreos & other sweets, flowers cut from bushes around the property, a t-shirt and the company of the boys’ kitten for the day. Jack was pretty funny. He was so excited for my birthday and couldn’t wait for me to open his present. He pretty much stuck with me for the whole day. It was as if I was giving off a special energy because it was my special day and he just wanted to be around this.
In the evening, we had dinner at the resort next door called “Elsa’s” where I had a crab dinner, then we came back to Deep Gold to have another amazing raw food cake made by Mama Spice and red wine.  After that it was dance party time. Because we’ve pretty much become like family at Deep Gold, they pretty much let us do what we want to do there, and I wanted a dance party for my birthday. So, we plugged our music into the sound system and “dela frijoled” in the restaurant which we pretty much had to ourselves. Awesome!!

One of the most touching highlights of my day. See B-Rod you can do pretty awesome surprises!

Thankful that my coconut stash has arrived. I was on my last one!
It took all Jack had to wait for yoga class to finish, so I could open his present.
My birthday stash.
Yeah!! It’s my birthday today!
Amazing!
Cheers
Being fancy and celebrating my b-day with some wine.
I’m not kidding when I say these raw food cakes are simply amazing.
Thank you Mama Spice.
Kids are good to get the dance party started.
Yoga peeps and Deep Gold Girls dancing it up.
Having fun with my Port Barton family was a pretty good way to spend my special day.
