TO In a Flash

With only one day in Toronto, we did what we usually do when we first get to a new place to discover the lay of the land. We walked, and … walked, and … walked, and … you get the gist. There is so much to do here and so much to see, but with only one day, we decided to just wander and see what comes up.

After dropping off the rental car, and heading towards the lake, we quickly came across the St Lawrence market.
We both love places like this, so we wandered around, B made friends and we picked up some goods to have a later picnic lunch.
These look like the “bagel” snacks DawnO & I were addicted to in Guatemala!
Once we left the market, we arrived at a ferry terminal to Toronto Island Park. Just a short distance across the lake it included beaches, picnic areas, the city airport, a clothing optional area, etc. we had to go!

Perfect picnic spot
The island would be such a perfect spot to easily get away from big city life for awhile if you lived here.
Back to the city and we hit some of the big Toronto tourist hot spots. Didn’t spend too long in one place though … had to keep walking!!
Got to watch part of a newscast, and of course …
… B-Rod couldn’t not be on TV to ham it up
Got to Chinatown and Kensington market, but we were starting to lose a bit of steam and didn’t even have the energy to take many more pics. So, when we found the next spot it was a welcome opportunity to just sit for awhile.
Grabbed some games, filled up on drinks and waffle and just chilled.

By the time we left, we were pretty much done and headed back to the hotel. Back to AB tomorrow. Glad we got to experience this city/area even for a short time. Looking forward to being back at some point as there is still so much to see & do!
